Audrey is doing better today- she got a little bit drowsy yesterday AM and feedings weren't doing so hot, but she's made a good turn around- totally alert today and eating like gangbusters. Another bilirubin check today- our "Golden" child (get it?) is getting quite tired of having her heels poked and she was quite clear on this point at the clinic this AM. I think she had a lot of sympathizers in the clinic waiting room. So much for spoiling the kid, we're stealing blood from her left and right! It looks like she will be on the bili lights for a few more days yet...we'll see what today's bilirubin level is.
We have established a little bit better of a sleeping pattern. Audrey wakes every 2 to 3 hours for feedings, but she sleeps well in between- I must confess that my nipples are getting a little sore. Thank goodness for moisterizing lotion.
For Mom and Dad, today is going to be regrouping day- laundry, cleaning, organizing life...now that life is calming down a little. My garage hasn't been touched in months, desperately needs to be re-organized. Plenty of other things to do too, the length of my "to do" list is a bit disconcerting. Grandma is going to hang out with Audramatic (nickname) a bit while we wander about the house in search of organization.
In case you all forgot, Notre Dame football is only a few days away. Audrey slept through the entire first game, so I didn't have much of an opportunity to educate her in the various offensive and defensive formations. Maybe she was too stressed to watch the Fighting Irish...this next one (cross your fingers) should be pretty straight forward. More to come!
