Pictureless

The good news is that we had a great time in Rome and tons of pictures to share.  The bad news is that we have had some technical difficulties with a certain Trojan virus that is preventing us from posting them.  We are definitely going to need some technical help once we get home...anyone willing to tackle our little computer monster?  So unfortunately there will be fewer pictures from here on out...  We are just as sad as you guys, since we have found a dramatically declining number of postings since our pictures have gone astray.  haha.  Anyway, Rome was great, we only have about 200 photos of the colosseum from every angle possible.  Saw the trevi fountain, spanish steps, St. Peters basilica, the sistine chapel (which is freaking amazing by the way), the pantheon, palantine hill, roman forum to name a few sites.  Our favorite (and most commonly frequented) site was where we had best gelato EVER!  The name of our place was named the old bridge...they piled on huge scoops for super cheap with whipped cream on top.  Ryan gained 5 lbs despite our constant walking.  We stopped by Pisa and a certain curvaceous (actually Jen says tilting, but I like the word curvaceous better just for a little extra dramatic expression) tower.  We had an awesome little picnic only a few yards from the tower itself.  Would you believe that Jen was holding up the tower with ONE FINGER!  Its true, I have a picture to prove it.  It will now continue its steady decline now that Jen and I are in Cinque Terre.  Winding down our trip now...getting a little tired of packing up everything and hauling it to the next stop.  We have officially stopped seeing anything that resembles a church or museum for that matter.  Yes, on strike more or less. However, we are still in search of more gelato, more sun, beautiful scenery, and amusement that provokes Jens cute little snorting laugh.  Can you believe that neither one of us has killed the other- I know, we cant believe it either!  We miss you all and hope that you will still send us a pity note even though we cant oblige you with pictures!  Love, Jen and Ryan

We miss your pictures too! It is so fun to follow your adventures. We're looking forward to a gathering, where you can share all those pictures and stories.
Love to you both, Auntie Chris

Ok, you two. Your mothers are competing to see who will pick you up at the airport. Looks like Pam is winning, since Sal will be working at the time of the night.

Still Door 5, Arrivals. Be there or be square.

News from home: Three more trees bite the dust today on our boulevard. Drought problems? Dough Nough.

One of Matt and Sarah's trees is now over 6 feet tall. The one in our back yard is 5 feet. The six footer is on the boulevard.

Tutored a gal in calculus yesterday who is planning to attend Princeton. Princeton is now ranked 2nd in the country, right behind Notre Dame.

In football, Notre Dame is not even ranked in the top 25. Not even an honorable mention. Owie, owie, owie.

Your football tickets are safe and sound. Not to worry.

Castles, museums, cathedrals all become a blur after a while. Gelato will see you through to the end of your vacation.

Love, MomandDad

Forgot the news of the day: Joe Biden will be Obama's running mate.

He's Catholic--from Deleware. But pro-choice I think, so I can't vote for him.

I do want to see us out of Iraq, as soon as possible, however.
