Happy Bday Dad! For those of you who didn't already know- my dad turned the big 7-0. We had a little (ok...actually a fairly big) shindig for him last night and I think it made for a nice surprise. You'll have to ask the birthday boy yourself! Jen and I breathed a collective *sigh* as 3 months of planning came to a close. No major party "hiccups" last night including: no random nudity, no child bumps/bruises/gashes, and everyone got piece of cake. Can't ask for much more than that. Another big thank you to Ebers, Alissa, Sarah, Matteo Drive, Lalasita, and Mom for making it happen! Big thank you to Ellen Capecchi as well for the beautiful prayer. A big thank you to Pam and Joe for helping with both kiddos- they tended to kiddos while we tended to the party. And last but not least, a gargantuan (spelling??) thank you all for being there for the big day- I'm sure you could probably tell that my dad was thrilled!
Now back to the usual household chaos. We're actually just trying to get through Audrey's first ear infection... Auds hates antibiotics and we ONLY have 15 more doses to finish off. Thank goodness, we don't have to do this too often. A one month hiatus from colds, urinary tract infectious, and vomiting would be so very welcome at this point. Especially since it takes about three weeks for a cold to make it through a family of four. The winter is certainly allowed make an early exit if that means an end to the endless sniffles.
