First, we would like to wish Laura a very happy birthday. We were so bummed that today's weather kept us all home bound and could not meet to celebrate. For a short time we did think the celebration might happen, so Ryan made a cake and frosting for the birthday girl. Yes, you read that statement correctly, Ryan made the cake and frosting from scratch. There is nothing sexier than my husband baking.. Oh baby!!!
Anyway, since we couldn't have dinner with Lola, we are now stuck with birthday cake. The good news is that it is really yummy. The bad new is that after having just made it 6 hours ago, half of it is already gone.
Now, Ryan and I had some help eating the cake from a little someone named Audrey.
Tonight at dinner we gave her a few small pieces to try. Well, one of the pieces was not so small. When that large morsel landed on her plate her eyes were as wide as the Mississippi! She quickly snatched it up, gave a little smirk and whispered to the piece of cake, "bye, bye" and down the hatch it went!
Seriously she actually said bye bye to the cake before she ate it. Ryan and I were in tears we were laughing so hard.
So the snow is here again. We thought we were headed towards spring, but nope. Since dinner didn't work out today we began to feel a little nutty being inside the house all day and decided to head outside. Audrey LOVES being outside and thankfully she also loves the wind esp since it is very windy today. So she ran up and down the driveway with her tongue sticking out catching snow flakes. She had a blast and did not want to go back inside. In fact, after I brought her back in she started crying and signing and saying "more, more" b/c she wanted to back outside so bad.
Ok, pretty uneventful posting.
Drive safe if you are here in MN!
Hugs,
Jen, Ryan, and Audrey
