Chunky Monkey

Well let's start off this posting with my favorite topic sleep! Audrey had been progressing nicely and sleeping for longer spurts in her bassinet and then during the middle of Feb she decided to sleep like a newborn again! I could not figure out why she was getting up so often and eating every 2 hrs again at night.. And then I weighed her.. Our little pumpkin went from 16lbs on 2/14 to 17lbs 10 oz on 3/2! So basically she had a major growth spurt! And the rolls of back fat just confirm that she has gained weight!

Ryan and I have also been busy, not gaining weight but rather trying to lose it! Ryan has been running around Calby lake with our neighbor Kevin a few times a week and I have been hitting the treadmill and walking around the neighbor with Kevin's wife Heather. We have been attempting to work on our "beach bodies" since we are going to Mexico this weekend this Ryan's family. We are really excited to escape the cold weather and hang out the family. But we are even more excited b/c this is Audrey's first vacation! The process of packing has been interesting and I feel like we will need a small U haul to get all of our stuff to the airport!

Our little Audrey continues to grow and change everyday! Last night Ryan and I were discussing what an amazing experience it has been to watch her grow and learn new things. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful baby and have enjoyed every minute with her. We even the minutes in the middle of the night when she keeps waking up! :-)

Audrey is now sleeping in her crib as of last Thursday. Note to self. Don't do any major routine changes during the work week since there is a chance that you won't get any sleep that night! Audrey is now sleeping a lot better and gets up around 12:30 and 4:30 to eat which isn't too bad. She continues to blow bubbles, and has also found her high pitch voice! She enjoys reaching and grabbing for anything and everything. She almost poured a bowl of beef stew onto Ryan's lap this weekend! She's pushing her chest up more during tummy time and is able to balance a little more while sitting on her own. She hasn't started rolling yet, but we are working on it!

I think that is about it.. Hopefully we will have some fun pictures to post when we get back from our trip!

Love and hugs.

Jen, Ryan, Audrey and Nick

Such pretty grandmas!

My favorite one is the last one of Audrey, when she's peering around the corner. Adorable!
